PLT is known for its consistent performance, regardless of house conditions. Since it’s hydroscopic, it will pull moisture from the air and litter so activation happens in any conditions—wet or dry.
PLT drops the pH of the litter to below 4.0, creating an environment that is hostile to the growth and survival of pathogenic bacteria, but favorable for healthy bacteria.
